shit, shit , shit scuse the language but either chickenpox or scabies, help if you can?

Well thats about it really, dd is coming up in a blister type rash, particularly on neck, back, behind ears and one on her head. My mum doesn't think it looks like chickenbox in that the blisters are turning to scabs quite quickly, other than that they are definately blisters with yellow head that change into an open type sore.
The reason scabies comes into the equation is that it has been going round at school (not her year). I have had a look on google but need some personal experiences please particulalrly of scabies, as i'm drawing a blank, cheers in advancwe people.

btw, we never really were sure about ds and after dealing with it for about 3 weeks we finally took him to the dr. who gave us steroid cream. I always wondered if, even if it had been scabies originally that it morphed into a reaction from all the tea tree oil, etc. I was using. Have to admit I got a little freaked when the scabies issue came up and tried a lot of different home remedy type stuff Blush

Thanks to all who responded yesterday, just to let you know its chickenpox, hooray, with four kids my gp reckons i'm looking at about 6-8 weeks of this, oh the joys eh!
