Constant sore throat, colds and tiredness - any advice appreciated!

Since the middle of October I've had a constant irritated throat, been feeling quite tired the last couple of weeks and I've just got my third cold in 5 weeks. I don't normally feel like this in winter, so just wondered if anyone has any advice for feeling better/preventation. I get around 8.5 hours sleep and have veggies/salad with lunch/tea and 1/2 portions fruit a day, so shouldn't be lacking vitamin C.

This has been happening to my ds2 aged 17. He has been like it since August, it turns out his white blood cells are very low and he is picking up one infection after another. It may be something as simple as anaemia, but ask your doc for blood tests.

bumping because I want to know too - I'm convinced it takes me an abnormally long time to get over colds as well. one possible thing my dr suggested was anaemia - OP have you been checked for that? - it will make you tired and can lower immunity apparently and is v v common in women.

crossed posts! also have you tried first defence? not everyone likes it, but I think it's great - has definitely stopped colds in their tracks a couple of times.
