Dentistry question.

Following the birth of my second child I am in the middle of 1 year of free NHS dental entitlement.

I have two slightly chipped front teeth that have never bothered me until recently. Can I just ask for something to be done about these? What can be done? Do they just get filed?

I feel a bit cheeky asking for something cosmetic to be done for free. I don't mind paying. Do I assume it to be something that will be done for free or do I ask for an appointment with the expectation of paying?
