If a coil has disappeared...

but hasn't fallen out where can it have gone?
I went for my smear test on Thursday and the nurse coundn't find the threads and I can't feel them either (have previously when checked)
Where can it have gone?

Threads might have gone up inside the uterus, it happens occasionallt & doesn't affect the way the coil works. An ultrasound scan will make sure coil's in the right place!

Thanks everyone - was hoping that the nurse was being useless but she wasn't! better phone gp first thing!
