Cold, after cold, after cold, after cold (me not dd!)

I am presently 25 weeks pregnant and getting cold, after cold, after cold. Some of them are real chesty throaty buggers and the blocked nose preventing sleep at night is no fun.

Is immunity 'depressed' during pregnancy or am I generally run down?

How about a multi vitamin especially for pregnant women? I took one religiously every day during my last pregnancy and wasn't ill once (which was amazing for me, who is always cold prone).

In this pregnancy I've been far more slap dash and haven't taken a multi vit every day and have had flu and several colds.

Bluecow,

Thanks - good suggestion. I'll try that!

HMC, I started to get a cold and cough at the end of October (2 wks after my miscarriage). I STILL have it. I am sure pregnancy completely buggers up your immune system. I think the vitd are a good idea, echinachea (sp?) is very good for the immune system too but I dont know if it is safe in pg.
