Doctor Referrals

Recently I contacted Nelsons regarding a homeopathic remedy for my sons ezcema. They would not advise but did say that I could be referred to a homeopathic practice through my doctor on the NHS. I did mention this to the doc on our last visit who at first said no then after a bit of a push said we will talk about it in the new year if the new prescription didnt work. Well it hasnt and I will be going back asap. Has anybody had this kind of referral?

May be a bit late - but no I haven't tried this though my m-in-law recently told me that many Gp's can now refer patients to chiropracters - which I imagine is the same thing. I have some sympathy with the doc in that I guess it probably costs their surgery money and in my personal experience we weren't helped by homeopathy - despite several vsists and lots of attempts (for eczema). But I do know it works for some and I also know that feeling of desperation to find a cure - we tried the lot - cranial osteopathy, food allergy tests - spent a fortune. Anyway I digress. If you want to give it a try I think you are entitled to stick up for your entitlements and try. I really hope you're one of the ones it works for! Good luck

Thanks Cl. As I have been saying on another thread, I have had ds tested for food intolerances (privately). I have avoided the ones she suggested and I have seen an improvement in just a week. She said it might take a while, especially with yeast, but as long as he keeps showing an improvement Im happy.
