Moon cups

Don't know if anyone has this "environmentally friendly" alternative to tampons called moon cups. Want to alert you to potential danger!

I went out for a walk with little sis & DS. Before we left, she gave strict instructions to her DP to turn off the hob in FIVE minutes as she was sterilising her moon cup. Except her DP phoned an hour and half later saying he'd forgotten (typical bloke on playstation!) and when he lifted the lid off the saucepan, the mooncup caught fire it was so hot and completely disintegrated, leaving ash all over the kitchen. When we got home, her DP was scrubbing the kitchen from top to bottom (as my little sis says "An expensive way to get your kitchen cleaned").

Just be \link{www.mooncup.co.uk\aware}

Looks like the Mooncup brigade arent about at the minute,becoming quite popular.
Wouldnt have sterilised it in a Saucepan!!!!!!!!

Dp didnt realise they went internally, he thought you put it in your knickers!!!!!!!!

Are they comfy? can you really not feel them?

CarolinaMoon · 31/03/2006 16:43

I sterilise mine in a saucepan. No way would I leave dp in charge of it though. Is this some kind of guerilla campaign by Tampax to stop people buying mooncups??

Jellyjelly, yes they are comfy - more than a tampon IMO and no, you can't feel them.

If i boiled a kettle for a coffee and used remainder of water to rinse Mooncup wont that do!

spidermama · 31/03/2006 22:05

I used to do that notasheep. I thought it was fine. Then my MIL bought us a dishwasher. I'm loking forward to the day she unloads it with my Mooncup in the cutlery basket. Grin
