Start of cold sore appearing and newly pregnant

I do remember from last pregnancy that they go hand in hand.
Is there anything that I could have around the house which might magically calm it down?
It only appeared today so if I could prevent the horrible blistery stage that would be wonderful
Don't think zovirax is safe in pregnancy.

I think zovirax cream is absolutely fine in pregnancy. See previous mumsnet thread:

If in doubt, you could check the package insert with the zovirax tube and/or (better) ask the pharmacist.
