What works for PMT?

I've now had four periods since birth of my second child and have been suffering from horrendous mood swings which is all the more difficult as I have never suffered from it before. I also feel really drained and tired the week before - although maybe this is aggravated by having two young children. I'm 40 so maybe age is affecting it as well.
Really want to find something that might alleviate it as I'm usually quite an optimistic person and feel like I undergo a character change for a week a month.
There's such a wealth of stuff on the chemist's shelf it would be helpful to know what has worked for other people.

do you drink coffee Mog? because I was advised to give it up as it contributes to pmt and I felt loads better as a result. That advice was given by an homeoepathic doc.She also suggested bella donna tablets.

I used to take Evening primrose capsules and they seemed to work really well.

Must get some more actually as I think I've made DH's life a misery lately........bloody hormones.

star flower oil is stronger than evening primrose oil and you canpick these up at Holland & Barrett, plus may other homeopathic remedies. Try one at once though so you can see which works best.
