Viral pnuemonia at xmas
Double ear infection 3 weeks ago, viral joint irritation for 2 weeks, unable to walk.
Now she has acute tonsilitis has had temp of over 40 for 4 days, last night was vomiting blood, so we've spend several nights at after hours clinic and last night at a childrens ward.
We got her home at 4am.
She seems a little better todya, I think her temp has finally borken, but I though that yesterday as well...
No advice needed really, she is just so good and calm and snuggly, I just want my darling girl back again - fit.

Sad You have my sympathy, my 3yo ds has never been ill until this year - then he's had one little thing after another. I think that they are more likely to catch illnesses when they're recovering from something as they're still at a low ebb.
Make the most of her being snuggly and put your feet up if you can. It can't last much longer!!

YouCantCrackMeImARubberDuck · 28/03/2006 15:36

send her big hugs from a big duck

Oh, piffle, I'm so sorry to hear this - it has been a rotten winter for illness. Hoping the weather and her health both pick up soon, poor lamb. XXX

Clary · 28/03/2006 23:58

Piff, that's nasty for your poor dd. Hope she feels better soon.
How are you btw???

bundle · 29/03/2006 10:24

how is she today piffle?

Piffle · 29/03/2006 10:32

Thx for the messages.
DD seems better today, had vomiting yesterday and temp has evened out still 38.5 and spikes quick but we can control it now..
Up 5x last night with her, she now has cough and cold on the way, which hopefully spells the end of this whole bloody debacle.
A lot better in herelf I think, still off food, still sleeping 22 out of 24 hrs...
I'm fine if not a little knackered and worried, dp has stayed off work all week at home to help as well. So am ok really :)

Smile

when i took dd2 (nearly 3) into a&e last week (non-blancing rash, spikes of 39 temp, hacking cough and just aching all over)they did loads of tests and diagnosed a virus...3 days later i was back at the on call dr, she had a secondary chest infection (she was even refusing ice cream ffs!) and the antibiotics did the trick..but i was v worried too, it's a tricky business...

geekgrrl · 29/03/2006 10:56

Aww piffle - the poor pifflet. :(
How's her leg/hip?

Piffle · 29/03/2006 11:02

The leg is fine now, so it must have been a viral inflammation.
