Constantly ill dh - what will help?

Following on from the 'constantly ill kids' thread, my dh has had 3 really bad colds / sinus problems / flu type things since Christmas. He eats well but doesn't do much exercise. He's very stressed at work and doesn't sleep well. He's so desperate now he's asking for vitamins / magic pills - what works?

TIA

Snap me to except not man flu, but think if caught every cold thats going since christmas. Am now officialy fed up with it all. i thought that children who start to interact with other children get my 2yr old been fine.

Now so fed up with myself not being 100% trying hard to carry on and cope as a sahm.

FRESH air! Open up those windows.

I spray my nostrils w/Sterimar - saline water from the chemists - nightly before bed and again on waking.

I eat two oranges a day, and take a B vitamin supplement.

my dh swears by garlic tablets. He has much less colds for the past 2 years. He used to get HORRENDOUS ones, all like your dh sherbert37, linked to stress, lack of exercise, bad sleep etc.

I take vit c and zinc when I feel one coming on.

i would second expatinscotland rinsing nose out - or a cheaper alternative is using a neti pot or nasopure see \link{http://www.shopneti.co.uk\here} then coating inside of nostrils with vasaline to act as a filter to colds, dust etc. and being outside wherever possible. sounds weird but they have been doing this in india for over 2 thousand years. the big pharmaceutical companies would be seriously out of pocket if everyone knew about it!
