Ruptured Follicle?

Hello
I've done the inevitable and looked up my symptoms on the interweb before I got checked out at the GPs and I think it is a ruptured follicle; pain and bleeding for a few hours on ovulation, just from one side, been going on for 4 months, heavy period.

Sound familiar to anyone, and if so what is the outcome?

Never heard of it, love - sorry you're suffering.

hello dear
not suffering really, just giving me a bit of gip and a runaway imagination

My friend always says she gets pain and knows exactly what side and when she's ovulated. I think she was told that there is little that can be done so, for her, it's grin and bear it. I suppose it makes sense in that the follicle does rupture each month. Do you have pco or anything that might make it feel worse?

suzywong · 26/03/2006 13:25

No, not that I'm aware on the PCO front. I don't mind the pain just want to know what it is. Am wondering if it's not a pair of pliers left in from the 2 emergency Caesars Wink

That sounds like something I'd worry about! But then I have an irrational fear of feeling everything whilst under a GA and not being able to communicate that. So I get why the pain could cause you angst!

it may just be a stray Registrar's fingernail, but thanks for replying anyway Smile

It's one of the joys of the internet though, isn't it - putting together a few symptoms and discovering you've got Lassa Fever or Bubonic plague or Chronic Cardigan Wearer's Syndrome. See what the GP says...
