Whites of eyes that are slightly yellow

I noticed a week ago that the whites of my eyes were slightly yellow, so went along to my GP. She sent me off for blood tests but basically didn't have a clue as to what the problem is (they're not really really yellow, which would indicate jaundice). I just phoned up and the bloods have come back fine, so I am none the wiser (but still have yellow eyes). I have googled but couldn't find much on it.
Does anyone on here have any experience of this?
It must mean that something is wrong, or imbalanced, or something, surely??

Presumably she checked your liver function? That's the first thing that springs to mind.

Yes that was checked and came back as normal.
