Hi,
My baby is just over 4 months now. I had my first period not long after I stopped breastfeeding when he was about 2 months. I then went six weeks with no period, now I am on my third period in the space of 6 weeks. It is very heavy, lasts about 5 days, which before I was pregnant they only lasted 3-4days. Sometimes I have terrible backache, other times just usual general period niggles.
I have searched the internet and found that this can happen to women after childbirth, but no one has said what happened when they went to see GP or health professional.
Has anyone had this and been to see a health professional, and if so what did they say?
