My mum gets ill every time she visits. Is this normal or is my house germy?

Come to think of it so too does my MIL. It means they come and help even less than they used to (which was hardly ever).

They both live a 2-3 hour drive away.

Do you think they get bugs from the kids? They seem to get ill even when we aren't.

Ok so I have some new ideas.

  1. Clean well and disinfect things like door handles (I would normally never even think to clean these).
  2. Get the kids to wash their hands a lot.
  3. Get the kids to blow their noses if runny and dispose of the tissues.
  4. Use synthetic pillows.

They get great food here lovingly cooked so that's OK, and tbh they don't work particularly hard (if at all actually), however they probably don't sleep as well as they might.

OK thanks ladies. I'll give this a try. I'm trying to rope in a bit more help.
