Ok, im worried.
Im not pregnant, my boobs are quite tender and i feel a bit of pressure in one of them, been like that for a few weeks although nothing major.
I have just had the urge to squeeze my nipples (dont ask me why!) like you do when expressing, kind of behind the nipple and out of one of them came a clearish milky liquid and the other a green thick liquid - WTF!!!!!!
Help me!

This is something to be concerned about. I would get to the doctors immediately and let them know what is happening. I don't want to scare or upset you, but a friend of mine had liquid that oozed from her breast (she was about 50 and not pregnant)and it turned out to be cancer for her. Maybe it is nothing, but I would not ignore it, ok? I am sorry if I scared you--I just want you to be sure that you get it checked out as you say that you are not pregnant or nursing at this time.

waterfalls · 21/03/2006 21:45

idea

starlover · 21/03/2006 21:45

it could be an infection... get it checked out

Nixz · 21/03/2006 21:47

Oh my god, how scarey is this.
I have my driving test in the morning.
Oh shit.

Please don't be scared, just get yourself checked, as Starlover said, maybe it is just an infection. Please don't let me upset you, OK? I feel so bad that I posted that, it is just that my friend described this oozing the same way that you did and I thought of that immediately. There is nothing to do now but make the appointment and see what they say. I wish you the best and good luck with your driving test tomorrow also.

I leaked milk when I missed 3 periods, as my hormones were all over the place. Turned out to be nothing at all. My hormone levels are back to normal and so are my periods.
Have you missed any lately?
Not sure about the green stuff though - is it definately green??

Try not to worry. It could be lots of things.

sunchowder · 21/03/2006 21:54

Thank you LOCKETSexcellent article, must more comforting that my former post. I am sorry Nixz, you see it could be many thingsnot necessarily anything serious.

Nixz · 21/03/2006 21:56

Thankyou lockets, a really good article and has somewhat eased my panic!
I have endometriosis and polycystic ovaries so a hormone imbalance could well be the culprit.

Nixz, sounds like you could have an infection in one of your milk ducts. It can happen, you chould see your gp to get a swab taken. Dont panick, but do see your GP.

good luck and HTH

Nixz · 21/03/2006 22:08

thanks, was just wondering though, if i have an infection, or even something more seriuos - would it come in both breasts?
I would have thought it would be more likely to come in just one

OP posts:
HappyMumof2 · 21/03/2006 22:15

it does sound like a hormone imbalance to me. Mine was from both breasts and was hormonal. I would think it being in both is a good sign personally!

Chapsmum · 21/03/2006 22:20

The fact that there is fluid in both of them would suggest the hormonal imbalance, however ,the greenish fluid in one would suggest that perhaps the fluid caused by hormonal imballance could have cuased infection. See your Gp, and make an urgent appt if you start to feel fluey or develop a temp, or a hard or red boob.
