VAGINAL BLOCKAGE...?

Really sorry if this is TMI, but I'm really worried. I've been on my period this week, but for some reason, inserting tampons has been impossible! They goa tiny bit but then blocked by something that hurts if I try to push it. Anyone had experience?

i did actually and thought that it was a prolapse. i was so upset and used MN as a support. it took me ages to go to the docs as i hate to have internals and cried the whole time. the nurse was evrso good and had a good look to see what was going on. i thought that i could feel some thing and it just turned out to be a lesion (sp?) from my dd3 birth . said that everything else looked normal and that i just needed to do more pelvic floor excersises to strenghten walls and then it shouldnt be a problem any more.
it hurt to put tampons in and felt a bit buldgy but i worried over nothing.

i hope that you have the strenghth to take yourself to the doctors and get it seen to because it might be nothing!!

good luck anyway hun Smile xx

Just a thought - you haven't left a tampon in there have you? I guess it wouldn't explain why it hurts when you try and put another one in but I know how easy it can be to forget if you took the last one out or not? How far in is the blockage - can you feel it yourself? I would definitely ring the GP today.

No.Not left one in.. A nurse told me once when I went for a smear, that my uterus had moved! I was really shocked but had it checked out by a consultant who said all was perfectly normal. I had my DD by c-section, so no problems there. I wonder if this could be the problem again. It's not always blocked... occasionally I'd try and have no trouble, so whatever it is, isn't permenant..? But, still worried.

piles are , erm, at the backGrin

varicose veins can occur in lots of places including the vagina

quanglewangle · 20/03/2006 11:04

You can get varicose veins there. I had varicose veins around my vulva when I was pg. And I used to hold them responsible for an ache in said region during my period if I was standing for any length of time. They have gone now.
