Just finished cleaning up my DS - 3years old, who has covered himself, his bed and me in sick for the second time tonight. At what age might I expect him to get to the toilet to throw up??

bumping this for you. my ds had a tummy bug about a month ago and at 16months what ever was closest got covered so much sympathy.

Ds can't even manage to get himself to the toilet to poo, so I doubt sick has much chance.

I suppose it depends how many times he's been sick in his life - it's a lot to do to recognise the feeling in time.

Have you thought of trying to get him to throw up into a bucket? My ds has been doing this for a while, maybe since he was 3.5. Although if he is sick at night, there isn't much success, probably because he is really not with it if he wakes in the night.

I hope your ds feels better soon.
