How long with a high temp before seeing the GP?

DD2 (2 in a fortnight!) finished antibiotics on Wednesday for a chest, ear and throat infection. She still has a cough and since Friday her temp has started to go back up again. I took it a couple of minutes ago and it was 104.6. She won't take medicine so all I can use is suppositories.
How long should I leave it before taking her to GP? She has screamed all night and I mean all night. She is really miserable :(

I would say, in your situation, about 14 minutes. That is a very high temperature. Off you go.

I really wouldn't wait. Can you not go to A & E now??

it's your decision, of course, but unfortunately, from experience, I have learnt never to wait around on a GP when I get to A & E quicker.

just got back from the docs. He can't explain why she has such a high temp. No chest infection. Throat red and ear red too but no major infection. Got to try and get nurofen down her as well as the suppositories.

Good luck with getting her to take medicine, maybe an ice lolly to tempt her with afterwards might work?
