Is there any one out there who has had more than 3 c-sections ? I have had all 3 children by c-section and have been warned/threatened by doctor not to get pregnant again but haven't really been told why a 4th would be any more complicated than a 3rd. Also if any one has experienced problems with anti bodies during pregnancy and has a story to tell I would be very interested. I developed anti c during last pregnancy without to many complications but have been told the situation would worsen with a further pregnancy ?

Hi nutcracker, when last pregnant, heart baby is now 17months old, I was told I could have another by c-section, and I'm a diabetic on 4 injections aday. I will not have any more, but if it worries you, I would seek another opinion..... I have read of a women that had 11 c-sections, that was a long time ago, but I'm sure many women have had more than our 3 babies.....

when I had DS1 by c-section I was told that really 3 sections is what is considered to be safe in the UK but it is not unknown for women to have more and that in South America they tend to have a lot quite safely. I was also told it depends on the individual and how they reacted each time to the operation and recovery time etc.

I had two sections and was fine with boath, but the docor did warn me that the scar from the first is very thin. Luckily for me we only ever wanted two children. Risks do rise with repeated sections, but I don't think that a hospital would refuse to give you a section if you became pregnant again.

Thanx for replies, I think maybe I should just be grateful for what I've got. Haven't got room for another baby any way but can't help feeling really broody though.
