Hi, sorry in advance as this is going to be a long post!
I have a few chronic illnesses including a gut and bowel condition, endometriosis and polysytic ovary syndrome.
Lately I have been feeling really unwell, no energy, sore throat, aching joints, low mood, headaches ect. Doc took loads of bloods thursday and I was called by gp on Monday, asking to repeat fasting blood test and to come in to see her asap.
Went to see doc yesterday, I have tested positive for Epstein Barr virus(sp?), and is querying chronic fatigue syndrome, my blood glucose was extremely high, even though I am on metformin and healthy diet, and even more worrying is my cholesterol is very high HLP? 1.1 & LDP? 7.9!
I'm 32 and have family history of stroke and heart disease so they are classing me as high risk of these. She also said if the glucose test comes back high, then I will also have to start insulin.
Now I knew this could be the case as I had gestational diabetes with each of my pregnancies which was controlled by insulin injections.
Are all of these things linked or have I just been dealt a shitty hand??? I feel like my life's a Jenga game atm, it's guna tumble any minute!!! :(
