My DD has come up in the worst thrush I have ever seen! It is all over her body and mouth and groin area, so literally head to toe!

The GP gave her Canesten cream but I have to go back tomorrow for something for her oral infection too as I didn't notice it till I got home. I have smeared her in the cream from under her chin to the ends of her feet but would really like any advice on offer on how to deal with this.

I don't know what could have caused this. I am keeping her naked (our house is warm enough) and only putting a nappy on when we leave the house to let her skin breathe.

She is very allergic to dairy so could someone possibly recommend something cultured I can give her that isn't soya or milk based? A supplement would be great if anyone knows somewhere not online I can buy one for children.

Not sure, but I used acidiphillis (sp?) when we had thrush bf my dd. Also, we used Daktarin oral gel, not sure if this ok for a dairy free diet though. We used Nystatin, and that was rubbish.

Maybe try Holland and Barrett's.

Sorry, not much help x

As an adult I've used Udo's choice probiotics and like them .
They do a powder for 0 - 5 infants

you might have to scroll down .

Thank you both for the suggestions!

I have found a local health food store where I can pick up some of the Udo's choice for infants tomorrow so that is really helpful.

I am going to try H&B while I am out too just in case they have something too.

Thanks again!
