Thrush AGAIN!! Any advice greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Dh and I are TTC our 1st baby, this is cycle number 3 (coming to the end of) it's too early to test to see if im pregnant.

Since coming off the pill 4 cycles ago, in the few days before I get my period I've developed thrush and to be completely honest, it's driving me crazy now!!! I think I'd had it once in the past 4 years before coming off the pill!?!

I saw the GP ( not my usual fabulous one but another female GP instead as mine was on holiday) who seemed to just think that I'd been unlucky and it was because id been having more sex due to TTC?

Has this happened to anyone else?
Anyone got any tips to keep it at bay??

Ooh- it's horrible, isn't it?
Cut right down on sugar. Take a probiotic.
At the first signs of it use a tampon soaked in live natural yoghurt.

I found boots own tampons gave me thrush. Wierd. Stopped as soon as changed back to Tampax.

Avoid having very hot baths. Take caprylic acid tablets.
If you do have a recurrence if it's possible let the affected area have a bit of an airing! (You could wear a bath robe with no pants on....)

IIRC, you have to make sure that your partner is treated also, as he can keep giving it to you otherwise.
