6month ds has thread veins on face

I've had a search and could only find a couple of threads on mums with thread veins wanting them removed. What I wanted to ask is does anyone have a ds/dd with little thread veins on their face and did they disappear as they got older? ds has a few and the veins under his eyes go very blue some days, plus he has a few 'larger' veins which are quite prominent above his temples and into his hair line.

I was told that baby's skin is so thin that many look 'veiny' but they fade as they get older (I guess due to skin thickening). ds is 6 months old now and they just seem to stay the same and grow with him. dh and I are used to them and he's gorgeous with or without them, but I have had comments from other people (and to be honest I just wish they'd keep it to themselves!)

I've just read the December-Heart babies thread... and here's me worrying about thread veins on my ds's face.. no need to reply!

Hiya Karen99, both mine had them and yes they faded as they got into toddlerdom as Twiglett said. I think as they are both quite fair skinned they seemed v. noticeable to me.

Thanks Twiglett and Queenie. You're right twiglett, I guess I just had a moment of "really, you're worrying about the silliest of things". Being a mum makes you worry so much more than you used to (and it was alot beforehand!).

My son had a couple of very prominent blue veins around one of his eyes from birth.

He's now 16 months and they have noticeably faded to an extent that I think you would have to look for them to see them, if you see what I mean.

I remember how his skin seemed to be almost transparent when he was smaller!

Hi sorry to re open this thread I was just wondering if you had an update on ds thread veins and if you found anything to help improve them. My little one has a cluster on his cheek. Thanks
