It seems DS had the dubious privilige of being prescribed a fairly obscure remedy that I can't find what exactly is for (apart from helping dogs to improve their breath's smell... though not quite sure DS would be in such need for something like that, at least not yet Grin)

Anyone?

I haven't got a clue but Im drinking a south african chardonnay at the moment and thats called Okubaka!

I just skimmed a German homeopathy site (and my German's pretty ropey) but it seems to be a remedy for diarrhea (sp)

katyrocks · 13/03/2006 21:32

I've never heard of it. just checked Materia Medica (homeopathy bible) - not in that!

Chandra · 13/03/2006 21:35

Thanks!

About the Chardonnay... I knew DS needed to relax, why have he not got a chardonay bottle instead???

Franke, the homeopath that prescribed it is German and most info I found in google comes in German (which I don't speak!!). Wonder about the diarreah (sp?) thing... DS has always suffered from constipation so if it is to cause it fine, but to sort it... gosh, he won't go a year! HAve you found the description for personality type? I'm curious about that too. Many thanks.

Thanks Katie. Now that we are into that, what is manganese prescribed for (someway I believe the homeopath has trascended the borders from homeopathy into kinesiology but... not being an expert I'm not sure...

Thanks

i'm definetly not an expert either and its not a remedy i'm familiar with, but from the book , i would gather; dry, sore nose/throat/tongue, ear problems, muscular cramps, dry itching or cracked skin. (sorry if its wrong - its donkeys since i studied!) don't quote me Smile

was that a bump or am i confusing you??!!! Grin

Chandra · 13/03/2006 23:40

it was a bump, sorry!

is that about the manganese or about the Okubaka?

I have been looking for a good homeopath for ages, and this one came with very good refereces... but when I asked what I could expect she just said she didn't know for sure (???)

bump

that was about the managnese.never heard of the other one! that doesn't sound right. its true that people react differently to treatment, but every remedy is prescribed for its effect, so she should have been able to tell you exaclty what to expect!

Chandra · 14/03/2006 23:26

I agree with that, I thought that she may have been overly sincere or that she might have been a bit confused... I don't think I will go back (unless Okubaka does something remarkable for DS I can not justify the cost...)
