Any idea why I'm feeling so crappy and exhausted all the time?

The past few months I've had these symptoms on and off; Light headed and dizzy, nausea (quite a lot, hate feeling sick), abdominal cramps/pain - go through periods of being constipated and then can go regularly but pain still doesn't go, this contributes to the nausea as well, lack of energy, severe headache that comes and goes, ringing in both ears, quite a lot of trouble sleeping, and quite exhausted (which probably relates to trouble sleeping). This past week all these symptoms have stepped up a notch and just won't go away. I had the mother of all hangovers last Tuesday, Blush which normally only last 24 hours, but almost a week later I still feel hungover? It's got to the point were I'm having to nap for about 3 hours during the day now, which obviously effects my sleeping during the night now. I also feel really down all the time, I don't think I'm depressed, but I suppose it could be?

I've thought it could be blood pressure related, but I've never had problems with my blood pressure before. I had a doctors appointment on Friday but just wondered if anyone could shed some light on it? Could it be stress related? DH was made redundant last month so money is a big source of worry atm. Although now he's at home he's doing most of the housework and childcare now because I just feel so awful all the time.

I can rule being pregnant out as DH has had the snip.

You could be anaemic or have thyroid problems. You could have a hormone imbalance. The dr will probably do some blood tests to investigate. I hope that you find out what's causing your symptoms.

I was recently diagnosed as iron deficient and had some similar symptoms to you. I didn't suffer from nausea but that's not to say it couldn't be related.
If you google it you should get up a list of symptoms.
A simple blood test can confirm it and after being on iron tablets for a couple of months I feel loads better.
Hope you get sorted soon.

Eryhing you describe(bar the ear ringing) sounds like me before i was diagnosed with an underactive thyroid. The hangover feeling is awful. Let me know what the Dr says although you will probably have to go for a blood trst!

Ask to be tested for Heliobacter. I had all those symptoms & was positive. Do u have any reflux burning or uncomfortable feeling in upper stomach?

Lawabidingmama · 01/09/2012 19:46

Ask for a ceoliac disease test and thyroid
