Had it for about 3 months. Told GP about it at 6 week postnatal check but she just said take painkillers and if you still have it in Sept come back!!!!

Still very sore. Any ideas?

If it your right, that's where your appendix is.

StarlightMcKenzie · 22/08/2012 23:32

It's on the right side of my body!

It isn't agony, more like continually sore!

Any clues?

See a second GP or make another appointment. It's only a week or so until September.

winnybella · 23/08/2012 00:46

Pancreas? Gall bladder?I think they are a bit higher than what you describe but I guess pain could radiate. Appendix is on the right side, lower down. I would definitely go and see a doctor about it, tbh it's not a great attitude that your GP has.

BertieBotts · 23/08/2012 00:46

Did you have a c-section or give birth naturally? (not that either will give me a clue but it seemed like a relevant question Grin perhaps it will give someone else one?)

StarlightMcKenzie · 23/08/2012 00:46

Yes, I will do. Just wondered if I should be worrying!

OP posts:
StarlightMcKenzie · 23/08/2012 00:47

No c-sections.

It is VERY slightly higher than my belly-button and a patch about the size of the bottom of a tumbler!

Higher than your belly button is too high for your appendix, though appendicitis pain is usually in the middle too.

My Ds had an appendicitis last year and the OOH doc got him to stand up, raise himself up on his toes and drop down onto his whole feet iyswim? try it SM

Solo · 23/08/2012 00:54

drop down hard.
