Urodynamics ? am nervous and wondering what to wear of all things !

am having the full works tomorrow . catheter in front and back and dye in etc. I'm very nervous and wonder if anyone who has had the same can advise me re what to wear ? will I be in a gown or should I wear a skirt and top ? can I leave my top clothes on in which case I'd just like to dress appropriately so as to maintain as much cover as possible iykwim ? am dreading the whole thing. TIA

There is a section in my medical encyclopaedia about urodynamic studies and a photo of a patient in a knee length hospital gown. You can see the catheter tube coming from underneath it but modesty seems protected. Hope all goes well today!

You can leave your top bits on and put a gown over the top. Well that's what I did. I can't say I enjoyed it but it's not painful, just uncomfortable and undignified. Still, it will give you some answers. Good luck.

Lovely thanks both. it says I can't pee after ten and my appt isn't until 3 and to drink. 2 pints of water after ten ! I'll be very uncomfortable by 3 ! I've got kidney reflux and my kidney is hurting already .
