No idea why this is happening - hot and clammy

For the last few weeks I have noticed that everytime I do anything I start to feel really hot and clammy. It normally happens if I walk.

Last weekend I left home feeling fine and walked slowly into town. By the time I got there I was so hot and clammy - sweat all around my shoulders, back, even top lip. The first few times I ignored it but it is becoming more and more noticeable.

I have just been to the local shop and purposely walked really slowly there and back. It isn't far at all. By the time I got back in I was roasting hot. I don't know what it could be or why it is happening.

I also feel sometimes as though I have a lump in my chest which kind of radiates around to the middle of my back - I do have a hiatus hernia though so I put that down to indigestion or reflux.

The only meds I take are blockers (propronalol) and also amitryptiline - I take both for migraines, but have been on them a while now so not sure if it could be related at all.

I feel really lethargic all the time too and just generally unwell. I have been to the GP lots of times and been tested for so many things over the past year or so.

The only other odd thing (not drip feeding, just want to list everything incase anyone sees a pattern) is that last year I was quite ill. Eventually the doctor diagnosed MAV (migraine associated vertigo). Now, when I got to bed, I sleep on my side with my legs on top of each other - they start to feel tingly in this position and then just as I am falling asleep I feel as though I am drifting in and out as if I am drunk when you get that room spin feeling but without the spin. Its awful at the time but I do fall asleep quite quickly.

Does anyone have any idea what this could be? My GP keeps saying he thinks I am fine. I had an ECG done too and that was ok. I just know I am not quite right though and something is going on that is diferent to the norm.

Are you my twin?

I was at the Docs today as keep breaking out in sweats (but not hot flushes) and suffering with breathlessness / ?hyperventilation. Tired & no energy.

Last week I had awful chest pains through to my back and my low dose PPI was increased a lot for 2 weeks to see if it is all acid related. (Todays appt was booked before this happened).

Anyway, could be peri-menopause, anaemia, thyroid, anything or nothing so getting full bloods done next week to see if anything shoes. Heart & lunds are fine thankfully.

Have you had your bloods tested?

Sounds like I am our twin Grin

Let me know how you get on at the doctors with your tests - I wondered about peri menopause but my periods are still regular etc.

I had my bloods tested last year and everything was clear.
