Broken Clavicle!!!

DS, 5 yrs old in 1 wk, rolled off the bed yesterday (as he does everyday), landed badly on his shoulder and has broken his clavicle (morning in casualty for that one!). He's got a sling and is on a lot of painkillers but I feel so helpless, he's such an active boy, now he can't play tennis, or cricket, or football, or swim - he can't even write or colour in, it's that side he's knackered. His birthday party was next week - at the local ball pit - so I've got to reschedule that as well - any tips on how long to wait to reschedule party so that he's fighting fit, and any tips on entertainment in the meantime, we've played all the games we possess several times over and if I see another episode of Power Rangers I may "morph" myself! He's supposed to be ok to go back to school on Monday but I'm worried - oh and I feel bloody awful too! All suggestions gratefully accepted!

I hope he feels better soon...

i broke mine as well when i got runover and SMASHED my leg into pieces... had to (attempt to) use crutches while mine was broken...

today me and my charge did the most wonderful "painting" thing calles rainbow art.... you rub these sponges over the paints and then they paint the most beutiful patterns... really NO effort, great fun AND could be done left handed Wink

he could watch u make cakes and lick out the bowl Wink and surely he might be able to sprinkle some sprinkles on top!

what about hand / foot painting (with the "other" hand!)

is he really far to big for a buggy? if he still fits you could go for nce walks if hes tired

(I know my 5 1/2 year old could just about fit in the mountain buggy if he was to ill to walk!) (but mountain buggies go up to age 5 anyway!

could you borrrow one? would he sit in it??
