how long until i start worrying?

dd2 (3 and a half) seems to have got a particularly nasty tummy bug - can't hold down a thing - including water. how long do i leave it until i worry?

I would say a couple of days if she isnt keeping anything at all down.

I would say 24 hours, try getting her to suck ice cubes, if your worried phone your gp just to put your mind at rest.

Does she have diarrhoea as well?

if she's not even keeping water down i'd try to get an appointment today, then they can prescribe something to stop her getting dehydrated.

Actually, yes, given its the weekend it might be worth calling today. You could try Diarolyte (sp?) to replace losts salts etc..

hello everyone. thanks for your comments. she stayed like that for about 24 hours but today was keeping stuff down so am expecting she'll be back to normal by tomorrow. only passed it on to me though! had both of us puking in the middle of the night last night. feeling nearly better now though.
