i dont use bubble bath - i use a small about of shower gel once a day as im aware that too much washing its bad for the flora&fauna
i wear cotton undies and use panty liners (unscented) as i have lots of discharge (if i dont my knickers get really wet (vom)
i only drink water and peppermint tea
not on the pill and dont use condoms !

There us a condition something to do with diet I think there's a certain protein/ product the body can't digest or absorb properly I can't remember what it's called so sorry but google cos it's possible to eliminate this thing from diet and it helps.

wonderingwendy · 13/08/2012 15:09

Bacterial Vaginosis? Link

sayanythingrogerjustrogerme · 13/08/2012 15:15

I was about to ask whether you were sure you weren't pregnant, but then noticed you've had this for 2 years so unilkely!

I would second Femfresh or something with a completely neutral pH for washing.

puds11 · 13/08/2012 15:15

I think other people can smell fish odour syndrome

bonzo77 · 13/08/2012 15:19

Stop all shower gels including femfresh. Just use water and if you must use something try aqueous cream. When I was in australia my gynae told me to use Sunlight soap, which was in the laundry aisle rather than with the toiletries. I would also take an oral pro- biotic.

There was another lady on embarrassing bodies who had a discharge problem. I cannot remember if she had a smell. She did have so much of it that she was using pads or it would "run down her legs" Shock. It turned out that she had more cells producing the mucous than normal, she had them removed and all was fine.

bonzo77 · 13/08/2012 15:20

BV is common BTW, easily tested for and treated with anti biotics.

Badvoc · 13/08/2012 15:24

Candida?

wonderingwendy · 13/08/2012 15:25

bert2e been tested 3 times all negative - did have 2 courses of anti biotics for b.v -didnt do anything
tried washing with tee tea oil
pro biotics orally and internally
garlic capsules
folic acid
you name it anything ive seen on the internet ive tried
not used anything for 3months to see if it got better
its really effecting my confidence and sex life
is it worth going to gp again and asking for a test for fish odour syndrome ?
they must be so tired of me complaing about a smelly fanny

I'm
Not sure how many gps r familiar with it so I would do some googling and make an appointment so u can attend somewhat armed with some background information. Can't hurt to ask and I'm sure they can or google can provide a list of foods to avoid

wonderingwendy · 13/08/2012 15:30

yes i will look into it - i do know something its not normal!
