Advice needed QUICK!!!!!!!!!!

DH's temp 40.2 he says he's "seeing things" and can hear buzzing! He's in bed, sore throat, flu symptoms and pretty distressed...he's had paracetamol Don't know what to do!

Ring NHS Direct now, just in case.

give him some brufen, cool fan and cool compress on his head, I was exactly like this a couple of night ago, you need to bring his temp down with some cold cmpresses to head and wrists and ibuprofen/nuerofen. If you cant get his temp down I would phone the dr.

probably better to get him checked out at some paonit to make sure he does not have tonsilitis etc, but the most important thing you can do now is bring his temp down gently.

NHS direct might take an hour or two to ring you back - ring your local doc and there will be an out of hours number to ring

thanks everyone...I've cooled him down with flannel and brufen etc and his temp has come down to 38.5. He is now lucid!! thanks for super quick advice, I've had terrible 10 days with ill babies throwing up every day..can't stand any more illness stress
