Whereabouts are you in terms of your BMI?

I ask because atm I am just above middle within the acceptable range of mine, whereas before I got pg I was just underneath acceptable range. But, I feel huge and as if am carrying loads of excess lard around. So, where are you BMI-wise and are you happy there?!

Too high - 12 stone and 5 ft 3 - think that means a BMI in the high 20s. Need to shift at least a stone, hopefully two.

emkana · 09/03/2006 20:51

Am currently pregnant with no. 3, but before I had a BMI of about 24.9, so at the top end of acceptable. Had to lose four and a half stone to get there though, as initially I was clinically obese Shock
Would be happy to get to a BMI of around 24 again.

starlover · 09/03/2006 20:51

i am at the top end of middle.. just below 25 so almost overweight

not happy at all

roosmum · 09/03/2006 20:51

same here dinny, pre-preg i was about 19/20, bit more now but still well within acceptable range - BUT i feel lardy compared to skinny old self, with wobbly bum. plus my trews don't fit like they used to , which really narks me (still wear them tho!)

alliebaba · 09/03/2006 20:53

I'm at 26.. 5ft 4 and 10st 8.. that means i'm overweight too!

Katymac · 09/03/2006 20:53

I've gone from about 33 to 24.4 (so I'm well happy)

dinny · 09/03/2006 20:53

, Roosmum. None of my clothes fit me properly STILL (and ds is 18 months)

btw, have you got a Rufus then?

Katymac, that's fab, how did you do it?

OP posts:
biglips · 09/03/2006 20:54

im spot on but feels unfit at times

WigWamBam · 09/03/2006 20:56

Mine is over 40, which while I'm all for fat acceptance, and while my dh adores me despite my size, I know is not healthy so of course I'm not happy with it.

I find it very difficult to diet, but I'm really going to have to because I'm not getting any younger, and I do worry about health problems.

Changed my life
Changed my diet (I din't "diet" as such - just changed the way I ate) I eat high protein, low fat food lots of carbohydrates and as much fruit & veg as I can cope with.

It's taken me over 4 yrs but I haven't put a single pound back on and I'm currently losing about 0.5lbs a month I want to lose about another 6lbs.

roosmum · 09/03/2006 20:57

yep dinny Smile

& he's fab!

roosmum · 09/03/2006 20:58

13 mths btw. was hoping to be skinnier by now Grin

dinny · 09/03/2006 21:00

really really wanted ds to be Rufus but bizarrely forgot about the name until 6 weeks after having him.... gggggrrrrr.

you don't live in Tooting, do you?

OP posts:
roosmum · 09/03/2006 21:02

nope, i''m northern.
i love the name, tho not everyone does i know...
what did you go for instead?

dinny · 09/03/2006 21:03

Hmm, don't normally divulge names but...what the heck - Ned.

foundintranslation · 09/03/2006 21:04

Mine is just over 23 - was about 19 pre-pregnancy. Am a bit flabby in the tummy and thigh dept and wouldn't mind shifting a couple of kilos, but wouldn't diet as such even if I weren't bf.

chapsmum · 09/03/2006 21:06

same as tipex, I'm 21 was 19 pre preg, it is amazing the difference in the way i feel Sad

roosmum · 09/03/2006 21:06

oh cool! dh wanted noah...& a whole bunch of way more random names (thor?!) r was the only name we could agree on Grin

FIT, see i would diet (a bit) if not bf. just don't like being heaviest i've ever been (not that i'm 'heavy', i just don't like my wobblings!) exercise is prob what i need, but, but...!

dinny · 09/03/2006 21:07

that's same as mine, FIT. But I feel huge - really getting me down atm.

OP posts:
roosmum · 09/03/2006 21:12

i'm only 1/2 stone heavier than pre-preg, but it makes all the difference, grr!

tiredemma · 09/03/2006 21:15

im at 26.

4' 11'' and 9 stone ( think cilla from corrie)
