Sore nipple breastfeeding 3 months after giving birth

Help! I've been breastfeeding my DS with no problems for 3 months. Yesterday I suddenly felt very sore when he latched on my left breast. Same pain as when latch on was wrong at the beginning. However he is latching in perfect. I have now noticed a white mark on my nipple (not a spot). DS also is fussy when feeding and often kicks a lot until he eventually pulls off cryibg after 5 minutes . Could I have nipple thrush?

Try organic calendula ointment. worked wonders for me ( my nipples were bleeding) takes a couple of days though.

OP you might want to ask for this to be moved to breast and bottle feeding for some more answers?

IME thrush causes white spots in the baby's mouth, but not on the nipples (tends to be red, shiny and itchy).

It could possibly be a milk blister?

Or it could be vasospasm. I have had this, and it was not diagnosed as it is usually associated with being cold/having Reynauds Disease, but you can get it any time. I had it a month ago during a massive heatwave!
