Banging in ear - not rude - pulsitile something or other?

Annoying, in left ear. Every now and again, bang bang bang, bloody annoying

Pulsatile tinnitus - awful.

My sil has that, it drives her mad, so you have my sympathy.

I have normal tinnitus, and that's bad enough!

I got it quite a lot when PG. could it be a blood pressure thing?

I had it. It was due to a cold I'd had a few weeks earlier and fluid gathering behind my eardrum. It took about 3 months to go completely.

This is VERY RARE but sometimes a small but benign tumour in your ear can cause this (glomus tumour) so you need this ruled out by your GP. I bet it will be what I had though.
