...or at least I assume it is. It's deep in the inside where the top of your leg meets your genital area - assume that is what is meant by groin.
Pain just on one side. Bloody hurts. Can't raise my leg, going up stairs is v difficult.
Not sure how I did it but have been doing various active things all day.... just noticed the pain coming on during the day to the point that it hurt lots this evening.
Feels kind of muscular / ligament.... Does it sound like a pulled muscle? Could it be anything else?
Have to work tomorrow....how long will it take to clear up?

How did you do it? I had a pubic ramus stress fracture a while ago (was told it was a groin pull for 6 months). Exactly as you describe.

Oh that sounds nasty.

Not entirely sure how I did it. Was doing a bit of stuff at the house - was flooded out two weeks ago so have had lots of sorting and carrying to do. On Sunday I had to carry some heavy sacks, but the pain has only been today.

What got fractured with your injury Sriracha, and how did you do yours? Are you ok now?

I feel your pain. I've been being investigated for progressively worse hip pain. Well the hip in question decided it had had enough on Sunday and instead of the dull persistent pain & clunking I've had for weeks, I went to stand up and I had scream out loud agony. I can no longer bear weight on that side, got an emergency appointment with my consultant at the end of the week. I hope they can give me some relief as strong painkillers aren't helping and I spend most of the day atm trying not to cry Sad

Oh heck Wonky that sounds v bad, you poor thing. Hope you get the right treatment and see a good improvement soon.
I get pain in my hip joint sometimes. This does not feel like that.

I run; it was an over-use injury. GP and physio told me it was a groin pull but I knew it was more than that as it hurt much worse in the evening and throbbed at night and at rest. There was sort of a clicking and pinching sensation too. Lots of googling made me think it was probably a stress fracture and I then had to pester for a bone scan, which showed it up plain-as-day (had an x-ray a couple of weeks after initial onset which showed nothing....x-rays don't show stress fractures until they begin healing). I'm just saying to trust your instincts and bother your doctor until you get answers...there are all sorts of tests that can be done that they may not be willing to do until you've been to visit several times. I couldn't walk without limping for months, climb into my car without crying, put on trousers...It affects your whole body; I had back and neck pain too from having to alter my gait and posture so much.

Hope you get it sorted soon Smile.

Yes, sometimes we just know that it's worse than the doctors think.
I'm hopeful that mine is something that will clear up in a few days - I hope so; had a bad nights sleep with it, woke up in pain each time I shifted and moved in my sleep.
