Candida diet - meal, snack and drink ideas PLEASE - simpler the better

I have tried everything else to eliminate systemic thrush and am now going to give the candida diet a good try, unfortunately I have a sweet tooth and it isn't going to be easy. I am also breastfeeding and running around after a toddler so cannot live on lettuce leaves!

I am going to try to eliminate dairy too I think to really give my body a chance to kill off the yeast. I have been told no fructose also.

If anyone can recommend meals, snack and drink ideas I would be very grateful indeed. I need these to be using simple ingredients as I don't have regular access to a health food store, just Tescos, and cheap ingredients too please (or not too pricey)

Thanks in advance, please help me beat this thrush!

Oh blimey, it'll be hard when breastfeeding, i lost so much weight on an anti candida diet (many many years ago)

I do remember eating a helluva lot of rice cakes! also rice crackers, veg, raw carrot, chicken, fish, brown rice and herbal teas..
My big tip is, if you can get to a health food shop, buy loose dried Marigold flowers which are pence per ounce, make a fusion of a tablespoon of flowers to a cup of water, bring to the boil, strain and drink as a tea. Marigold is actually Calendula and highly anti fungal - i swear by it.

Best of luck, it's a tough diet but well worth it Smile

Probiotics?

Hi Jellykat thanks for the tip re Marigold tea. I think I have to be careful not to go too extreme as die-off can affect baby too.

Sossiges i do take a really good probiotic already!
