I want to pull my ear out of my head!

My ear feels really strange, not quite hurting but it's not not hurting either! Like being underwater but must be quite deep because it's quite strong pressure on it. It's not affecting my hearing (and I have hearing loss anyway) apart from making me sensitive to the three girls who are screeching today(!) and I can hear myself breathe from that side. It feels like I've put a cotton bud in there and forgot to remove it, but further down than I actually would. It started last night and I've had no break from it.

Does anyone have any ideas what it could be or what I can do?

It's not popped either, I pop easily and it's definitely not that.

Could it be a blocked Eustachian tube?

WentworthMillerMad · 17/07/2012 20:41

I had this with labrynthitis (I did not get dizziness). It was the blocked ears that caused the problems. My gp gave me a steroid pescription only nasal spray and made me lie right back so it eventually tricked into the eustachian tube. Used it for 7days and it cleared it.
Oral decongestant may help.
See gp for the strong stuff!

Just got back from out of hours GP. My ear is very red and swollen, just waiting for my husband to go and get the prescription (I had to go on my own by taxi so he could look after the kids) unfortunately he has recently discovered Facebook games Confused
