SHHHH · 04/03/2006 09:48

I need to join as well...at the end....

I have tried desperatly since dd was born 9mths ago to shift the weight (about 1.5 stone) but still the same 9 mths later!!!

Only vice is choc which I limit to a bit at night or low fat biscuit etc. Eat healthy during the day but something is not working.
I started the charlie brooks work out 2 weeks ago. Doing it x2 a week and walking other days with dd, recommends that you will notice the difference after 2 weeks. Mmmm what difference will that be..?!

charliecat · 04/03/2006 18:57

Well I have decided not to diet untill we move house which should be in about 6 weeks as long as there are no problems with the purchase, I really really want to do this but need to set a date when I am going to start (like I did with smoking) and then go for it.

So I will be popping on and off this thread for the next few weeks and will then throw myself head first into it with you guys.

I said it on the last thread CC and I were on that I seriously need to loose a huge amount of weight. I'm going to set a target of 7 stone (I am clinically obese at the moment YAY) and then in a year or so when that is acheived I will look realistically at what else I need to loose. I think when I start I will probably join a local group like weight watchers or something.

So come on you lot give me the boost I need by showing me how you do it.

flutterbee · 05/03/2006 15:11

Forgot to say, instead of telling our weight on here (some people won't want to including me) then why not so what I do and just say how much you want to loose and we can monitor each pthers progress that way.

What do you reckon??

charliecat · 05/03/2006 17:26

Well I want to be able to fit in my trousers with ease. Instead I am growing out of them :(

can't join at the mo, am busy enjoying a lurrrvvvley glass of champs and am going to be having a sausie sarnie later followed by a yummy M&S desert, however tomorrow will be good coz now i'm a SAHM i must resist junk food!!!! infact I'm going to get me belly dancing dvd out again and hopefully shift some wobble Grin

SHHHH · 06/03/2006 14:43

sb LOL at the champers and sausage sarnie bit!!!

Fb your idea sounds great. I wouldn't also be put off by the amount of weight people want to loose as if you need to loose weight then it's an issue whatever you need to loose..from 0.5stone to 15 stone. We will help you as much as we can though.

I ideally would like to loose 2 stone as dh & I sooo want to start trying for baby 2 this year. BUT I would settle for 1 stone. BUT my ideal weight as per the charts says I need to loose 3.5 stone Shock..!!!! No no no no..!!!

knat · 06/03/2006 15:10

im trying hard at the moment. Decided to do Paul McKenna because i do comfort eat and i think it's definitely a "mind" issue with me. Does help. Just eat what i want when i'm hungry and it does seem to behelping. Before I eat anything i question whether i'm really hungry and even tho i didn't believe it would stop me having that something nice - it has. Done it for a week and eating "normal" otherwise. Listened to the tape 2 or 3 times so far. Must do it again to keep up the momentum. if I go by the height weight charts I need to lose about 4 stone!!!!! Would be happy with 2 . They make me laugh. I lost 2 stone before dd and was a size 14 and looked quite slim but was still 2 stone overweight according to these charts!!! I say go by how you feel and how your clothes feel. That's my motto.

georginars · 06/03/2006 15:14

Flutterbee I agree. I want to lose (gulp) between 5 and half and 6 stone. But I refuse to post my weight on here, just what I've lost. I need help! I've been meaning to join a weight loss thread on here.

a more immediate goal is to lose as much as possible before my friend's wedding on July 21st. Say 2 and half stone. It MUST be possible.....

charliecat · 07/03/2006 13:08

Ok, well a slimfast first thing this morning and now a banana, thats the best ive eaten in months. Cut out the crisps too i have. Hows you guys?

OP posts:
flutterbee · 07/03/2006 13:23

Well done CC (crisps are a big one for me too) keep it up and you will have done your first day before you know it. Grin

Georgars you start now and we will encourage and support you as much as we can and then when I am all moved I can start and you can push me along.

I think 2 stone is managable by June especially if you are carrying quite abit of weight (like me).Do try to get some excersize just go out for a walk for 10 mins it will really really help, and drink loads of water (another downfall of mine fizzy drinks) not only will it fill you up but it will flush you out too.

charliecat · 07/03/2006 13:36

add a cheese sarnie to that...hmmGrin See this is why ive never dieted. Im hungry and its human nature to bloody eat Isnt it????

knat · 07/03/2006 16:23

ok not doing too bad. Certainly not snacking between meals anywhere near asmuch if at all some days like i was. Today a bit worse as i'm having a bad day, feelingquite down, its pouring down of rain and its that time of the month! Had porridge for breakfast, some pick n mix sweets late morning(!), soup and granary bread and butter for lunch and a funsize mars so far today. Got sausage and mash for tea tho with onion gravy. But will probably not need anything after that and will try and do my gravity walker thing for 30 mins tonight again!!!!

georginarf · 08/03/2006 13:48

well I started on Monday, can't weigh myself until I get a new battery for scales though. BUt I shall update myself on here once I've started the horror of weighing myself. Although I haven't done brilliantly so far as not feeling very well at the moment, I have not eaten any cakes/choc/muffins/puddings/crisps or had any sugar so that's something. Am also making myself go out for a walk every day - off soon to walk to a friends and steel myself to refuse biscuits as 2 people there are pregnant and have an excuse...

thanks for reminding me about water Flutterbee - I always forget that, and I know it does work. Pre-pregnancy I had just lost 3 stone, I am LIVID that I'm back heavier than when I started. harrumph

yes, at least 2 stone by the end of July. I WILL DO IT

charliecat · 12/03/2006 20:58

I am still off the crisps here and eating more fruit :)
