Has it come on just today? It could be the start of a migraine - they can be hormone-related, and can sometimes be painless.

If you've had it for more than a day, I recommend going to see an optician who can have a look at your eye, front and back, and reassure you or refer you as required.

Given I'm very very short sighted, I don't mess around with the health of my eyes!

Is it like little floating blurry things that move when you move your eyes, and you can see them better if you look at something light or white? If it is, have asked my gp the same question. Can't remember exactly what she said they were but she said the're normal and no probs, unless you suddenly get loads of them all at once (which could indicate something to do with the retina), and then you need to go and get yourself checked out. But if you're not sure tbh I'd get it checked out anyway (as itsthawooluff says).

I've had similar since baby was a week old (now 14wo). I finally went to optometrist Last week and was sent to emergency opthamologist as is corneal infection... Been a week on strong drops and it's still there... Don't wait like I did :) optometrist can tell you if it's ok or needs treatment. Worth it IMO. Good luck

I have a small dark blurred spot in my eye.

Eye specialist diagnosed a blood clot as a result of smacking head on bathroom shelf.

Wont ever fade/go away.

Not serious..

Could be small blood clot/detatched retina from pushing hard,

Could be start of ARMD

Could be Glaucoma

Go see optician. Free appt at Tesco/Asda usually.

Good luck
