Very dark new mole on breast (am pregnant)

Hi,

Am 30 wks preg with DC2 and today I noticed a brand new mole - it is very dark brown and about 2mm across and just on the edge of the aereola (sp?) on my left breast.

Am thinking this may be melanomin pregnancy related???

Could any investigations be done anyway given I am pregnant?

I am sure it is just due to pregnancy, but get someone to take a look. A dermatologist can get an idea from looking whether it will probably be safe to monitor or if its important to get it tested before you give birth. I am not a dermatologist but would imagine they could do some testing with local anaesthetic at no harm to baby, if necessary.
