Was diagnosed with this several years ago, but have not had any episodes in a long time. Hit me suddenly in a shop yesterday and was in an awful state. Vertigo, vomitting (lovely), the whole works. Finally got to hospital and checked out an discharged with Rx for Serc. Feel OK now, just a bit tired. I know there are some old threads on this subject, but just curious if any fellow sufferers are out there and know of any news on the treatment front. Not taken Serc before, so I really hope it works. Hard to know that, though, if attacks only happen every few years....It was very frightening, I must say.

I myself have not had an attack since 2003! My Neurologist advised me not to add salt in cooking or sprinkle on food. Balance not 100% of course and yes Serc is the best when you have an attack but have not heard of any later treatments

Yes, I have been told by doc that salt is a factor so will definitely cut down on that. So glad to hear you have been free of episodes for so long. It has been 3 years for me, but this one came on full force. Scary.
