Vaccinations and nursery schools

This is my first post so forgive me if I do anything wrong!

I am just beginning to look at nursery schools for my 15 month old son, and I am a bit surprised that they don't seem to care whether or not he has been vaccinated. I expected it to be a requirement.

It seems incredible to me that I have to provide evidence of my cat's jabs to the cattery but when it comes to children anything goes.

Has anyone come across a nursery school in the UK that does require it?

next time might be back to autism, or possibly change to vaccines causing infection.

If the question keeps changing, so must the answers.

bruffin · 15/08/2012 15:36

Lol
It will be the metal from the injection needle,
Its a pity MN HQ cant do a sticky or a page with links to all the research. It doesn't need to give advice just link to pages like the WHO one i gave on the thread about spreading out vaccines. It has a list of credible websites.

PigletJohn · 15/08/2012 15:45

What's wrong with my turnip analogy?

bruffin · 15/08/2012 15:54

Nothing PJ, but eating a turnip exactly 3 hours after having a vaccine may cause some sort of reaction.

PigletJohn · 15/08/2012 16:06

can anyone prove that it doesn't?

bumbleymummy · 19/08/2012 15:02

Just back...

Jo, if you read the ADSTR report you will see that it gives the MRL for oral Aluminium. That seems to be what people are basing the current 'it is safe' on. Thankfully, according to a conference report linked to on the other thread, people are still investigating the effects of Al being injected. I will look forward to those results.

PigletJohn · 19/08/2012 15:27

I thought we established that the level of aluminium in the body was measured regardless of its source?

PigletJohn · 19/08/2012 15:30

oops, this is the thread about nursery schools.

"Aluminium in Vaccines" is over here

bumbleymummy · 19/08/2012 16:30

Had we PJ? Where did we do that?

PigletJohn · 19/08/2012 16:54

this is the thread about nursery schools.

"Aluminium in Vaccines" is over here

It's the one that starts "I thought this might do better with its own thread because the other one went off on a bit of a tangent."

bumbleymummy · 19/08/2012 17:08

Piglet, it has also been discussed here. I was answering people's posts on this thread too becuase not everyone moved over to the other thread.

PigletJohn · 19/08/2012 21:00

I agree with the person on the other thread who said "I thought this might do better with its own thread because the other one went off on a bit of a tangent."

bumbleymummy · 19/08/2012 22:53

You mean me PJ?

I'm replying to people on this thread . If you don't want to post here then don't.

CharlestheDaddy · 20/06/2015 12:52

Got to say I can't beleive how someone can say their vaccinated child is at risk from an un-vaccinated child. What Who Where? How can that be? I have athsma and almost died on many occasion. I am the first in my family on both sides to have this allergy in all of human evolution. I am the first generation of multiple vaccines. Dont force a needle in my children when I can see dangers for my self! Find alternatives or go your own road. P.S. I come from a very healthy athletical family I live in a densly populated poluted city!

SideOfFoot · 22/06/2015 16:43

I've said it before (probably on this thread) but I'll say it again, if vaccines work, why would my unvaccinated child be a threat to your vaccinated child.

futforbaby · 27/06/2015 01:16

Agreeing with sideoffoot. If your kid is protected from getting ill from 've my vaccinated then why should you worry about unvaccinated spreading the germ to your vaccinaged kid?

Btw: actually in day care centres they should have a chart to tell them when it's okay for vaccinated kids to come back to day care centre. Because it is he vaccinated kids with spread the germs after they are vaccinated. If your day care doesn't tell your that, then there is a problem. Because mine did

StephAndIan · 04/08/2015 07:51

If your child is vaccinated and the vaccine works - what are you so worried about if your kid is vaccinated?? I thought that was the purpose of vaccinating your kid??

ovenchips · 04/08/2015 08:03

Zombie thread, innit?

LostBoysMammy · 27/03/2017 18:57

Why would anyone want to inject illness into their beautiful new baby?
I stupidly did it to one of mine , before I educated myself. Now they are married and have to make the dreadful choice for themselves. The world has gone mad in my opinion. I read this article after I vaccinated, but if just one of you learn from my mistake, I'll be happy.
I don't understand why you that vaccinate are worried about those who don't. If you think you are vaccinating so your child doesn't get some dreadful illness that will kill them, why would an unvaccinated child be a threat to your child who is immune, via the vaccination?

Kristinna · 10/04/2017 11:11

Dear original poster
You have vaccinated your child therefore shouldn't they be immune to the diseases?
How on earth is an unvaccinated child a risk to a vaccinated one ..... please explain as aren't vaccines 100% safe and effective???

If you didn't think the vaccine was going to protect your child why did you get vaccinated??

I really don't under stand why parents of vaccinated children are so frightened of unvaccinated kids. YOU GOT THE VACCINE SO SUPPOSEDLY YOUR KID IS IMMUNE

Kristinna · 10/04/2017 11:13

Also I hope you keep your child at home away from other people for 2 weeks after every vaccine so as not to spread the diseases your injecting into your child to other kids who cannot be vaccinated for medical reasons.

Hi Everyone
I would love to speak to any parents living in the UK, who decided against vaccinations until older or not at all. I’m a mum to be, due March 21st 2019 and my husband and I are starting to research the vaccination schedule, which is quite over whelming.

Would love to speak to any mums on this subject.
With love, Heather x

RosieStarr · 15/11/2018 18:16

Herd immunity is key to protecting everyone, it’s not just about protecting an individual. By protecting a whole population you stop a disease from being able to spread, thereby protecting everyone - this is particularly important for those who are not able to be vaccinated due to other medical conditions.

I agree that people should have a choice, but it’s about informed choice - and if people don’t understand the full implications of their choices, how can they make a proper choice whether or not to vaccinate or not? I firmly believe that those who choose not to vaccinate should be penalised, for example by not being allowed in schools, in order to protect those who cannot be vaccinated through no fault of their own. Why should they suffer because of a lack of education?

keyahuk · 28/01/2019 10:10

out of an informed choice my grandson has not had any vaccines, statistics show that children who have not been vaccinated have had less hospital admissions for viral related illness and less stomach issues than those who have, my daughter and her friend have only a few days between ages of their children , both only a year old. My grandson has been fit and well and is well ahead of milestones where as her friends baby has been hospitalised x2 and is fairly behind in milestones. research is still ongoing on if there is a link to reaching targets and immunisations, until conclusive nothing can be dismissed. however our children are in no way putting your children at risk, the risk if any would be the other way around.
