Another teething toddler but is this normal

Hi our dd is 16 months and seems to be cutting one or two of her back teeth, what is destressing is that she has become completely out of character. Normally very happy, active & good sleeper she has been waking & screaming the house down at about midnight the past 3 nights and though seems fine when picked up she goes hystrical when put down again, arching her back and lashing about it normally takes about 3 hrs to get her back off to sleep again. Then last night she had a very high temp when she did her midnight wake up about 101 and today she has basically wanted to be held all day, or has laid about on the sofa but wanting to be near me and is off her food, burning cheeks and constipated, she has a slight temp on and off all day.

I have given capol & nelson's teething salts, but I just wanted to check that this is all normal as she is so out of character - even when been ill she has not acted like this. Plus any advice would be great, also if this is teething how long does this last?

my ds gets like that at times.
if you have any baby nurofen you can give it along with calpol.
so do calpol, 2 hours later nurofen, 2 hrs later calpol... and so on... gives a better lasting pain relief

btw my ds was in hospital on monday evening with similar symptoms and they said it's just a nasty virus going round, to keep him cool, give him calpol and nurofen and make sure he drinks enough

cutting the eye teeth (pointy ones) and back teeth is much harder than all the others, ds was fine with all his other teeth but really cranky and clingy and hot with these ones,

Thanks glad to know that it can be like this - she was so good with her 8 front teeth, hardly knew they were happening.
