Antibiotics - what is more important?

OK - antibiotics state:
Should be taken at regularly spaced intervals 3 times in 24 hrs.
Should be taken with meals.

Best arrangement seems 7am, 3pm and 11pm.
But I don't normally eat at these times.

If I take them with meals it would be 7am, 12.30, and 6pm; which is not remotely evenly spaced.

Just taking them roughly every 8 hours is fine, I would try to leave at least 6 hrs between doses if they are 3 times a day.

For 3 x a day I would have them breakfast, after lunch, and after tea. Or last dose before bed with a snack.

Your plan sounds fine though, you are only going to space them out as evenly as you can over the time you are awake.

Take with meals. Some need the right amount of acid in your stomach to work properly, and can make you feel as sick as a dog if you're hungry. You're best off having breakfast at 7, lunch at 1, supper at 7 (ish). You can have a sandwich before you go to bed though. Wink

The with meals bit is usually so they don't make you feel queasy - the ones you have to take before meals I always found hardest to take. because I am greedy so there is rarely an empty stomach to take them on
