Need to sort mine out. Apart from plasters and a thermometer, what must it contain?

Voice of experience would add dressings and a bandage (not all cuts can be dealt with using a plaster.
What else depends on whether it's for round the house or more adventerous outings.

Antiseptic wipes and savlon / germolene.

Melolin or similar dressing and tape.

Means to deal with stings and bites - tweezers, cream.

a crepe bandage or two
a sling and some safety pins
a couple of large self-adhesive dressings for cuts that are too big for normal size plasters.
an eye patch
a splinter removing gadget
an information sheet about how to perform CPR because in an emergency you might be too stressed to remember what to do.
A note of your address and phone number which sounds mad but I once had to call an ambulance for DD and was so panic -stricken, I completely forgot my phone number.

Eye wash. It comes in packets like tomato sauce and mustard in cafes, only the packet is bigger.
If it's your personal kit and it will be kept out of reach of children, then do include some painkillers, paracetamol and ibuprofen.
Deep heat cream.
