9 month old ds - foreskin pulled back

His penis was red a couple of days ago and noticed this. Just wondering if anyone has any experience of this as all the books etc say that this does not happen until around three. We are taking him to the doctor's tomorrow but just wondering if this is something to be worried about.

my son now 3 has been suffering wiht red foreskin for such a long time, he kept getting infected so now told to roll back everynight, hasnt been red often since and not infected at all.
