Trying for a baby after the chickenpox vaccine

Towards the end of this month I am due to have the second chicken pox vaccine. Does anyone know how long we have to wait before trying for a baby?

I am reluctant to ask the doctor as he had originally said that I could not breastfeed if I had the vaccine (I have spoken with a breastfeeding counsellor who said this was not correct). So I have the impression that he is massively overcautious and knows nothing about breastfeeding as he said that I should just stop.

I have googled it but had very conflicting advice. Some people say one month, some say three.

I would go with info on the most credible looking websites. Which ones say one month? Because APA says 3.

I had the vac after having dd1 and the mw told me to avoid getting pg for a year afterwards.

No mention of not bfing though.

A YEAR! My goodness. Hadn't realised it would be that long.

A year is wrong though - your body will have dealt with the virus within 6 weeks tops, so 2 to 3 months makes biological sense.

Yes a year did seem a bit extreme to me.

I wasn't planning anymore dc so didn't think to question it.
