Thats it really.

Banged the side of my head on a kitchen unit and ever since I've been getting headaches just about every other day in the same place.

Is that quite normal?
Am starting to worry about it now.

Not sure as not medically trained, but I hit my leg a few years a go and had recurrent pain - gp said it was nerve endings sorting themselves out and leg was ok after a couple of months, but I did go to my gp just to check.

Thanks anthea Wink

I fell and hit my head. I can't remember exactly how long but I had a constant headaches for a good few weeks afterwards. I went back to my GP twice and then went down to A & E as I was still worried. They gave me strong painkillers, tested my eyes etc (which put my mind at rest a bit) The painkillers seemed to work after a few days, they were probably some sort of anti inflammatarys (sp?) and they calmed it down. I think they made me relax about it too, as it wasn't constant, so that helped.

I would go to your GP or A & E if you can bear it, if only to put your mind at rest.

I banged by forehead on my neighbour's roof rack whilst putting dd1 in their car. It hurt (quite a lot actually) but I didn't worry too much about it. Four weeks later it was still hurting off and on, and a colleague thought I'd been drinking at lunch my eyes were so dilated. I rang NHS direct who insisted I went to the hosp asap (by then I'm starting to panic, having flown twice in the meantime!). Anyway, to get to the point, I'd got a hairline fracture of the scull which had already started to heal. The dr said that it could hurt for up to eight weeks, but said they wouldn't have done anything anyway.

Best go and get it checked out to make sure!

Hope you feel better soon. Smile
